You know what they say: first impressions are everything. And logos are a person’s first contact with a product, a campaign, or a company.

You have one shot to tell that person everything they need to know. What do you “do for a living”? Are you a suit and tie operation, or is every day casual Friday? Are you hip? Are you dependable? Are you “green”?

Logos are deceptively simple; they are busy little pieces of art. Underneath that cool and calm veneer, they’re doing a lot of work. And they need to be able to do that work in black and white and in color, on newspaper print and on TV.

Below are a handful of solutions that ten:pm has developed for clients seeking to tackle this exact challenge. Click on each image for a larger view.

The Beauty Manifesto
Emmy-nominated makeup artist Amy Strozzi was looking to bring her tips and observations online. ten:pm-designed a logo for her new endeavor as well as a blog site that she could use to connect with fans. Amy’s complete blog can be viewed at www.thebeautymanifesto.com.
